i hate the way coldplay used the melody line from kraftwerk's 'computer love' in their song 'talk' but only because i love the original (and the balanescu quartet's string version) and hearing the melody in the coldplay song gives me an autistic recognition spasm and isn't nearly as good as the song their are referring to...
but it is a legitimate reference... martin wrote to kraftwerk to ask permission and they said yes...
